Power Factor Correction
Many customers suffer from utility Power Factor charges on the monthly electric bill. The charge is assessed when the customer facility draws power at deficient Power Factor levels. Depending on factors such as the voltage level, strength of harmonic currents, and the type of facility equipment, either a service entrance capacitor bank or distributed motor capacitors would be the better approach. Either method will provide relief from PF penalties.

Some states allow manufacturing companies to avoid paying sales tax on electricity and natural gas purchases. We can advise customers if they qualify for a sales tax exemption, conduct the state-mandated on site study, and file the proper forms with the state and with utility companies. In many cases we can even re-coup past sales tax payments back to our customer, after completion of the study.
